Nは V辞書形+ことです
We studied "できます" last time.
At that time, we learned that " V辞書形+こと" is a noun.
Today we are going to cover the sentence pattern " NはV辞書形+ことです".
In the sentence pattern " N1はN2です," when you want to use a verb instead of a noun for the N2 part, the verb should be in the form " V辞書形+こと".
N=noun, V=verb
e.g. わたしの趣味は野球を見ることです。
わたしのしゅみは やきゅうを みることです。
I like watching baseball. (My hobby is watching baseball.)
e.g. 田中さんの趣味は本を読むことです。
たなかさんのしゅみは ほんを よむことです。
Mr. Tanaka likes reading books. (Mr. Tanaka's hobby is reading books.)
e.g. わたしの夢は中国で働くことです。
わたしのゆめは ちゅうごくで はたらくことです。
I would like to work in China in the future. (My dream is to work in China.)
e.g. チンさんの夢は家族と日本に住むことです。
チンさんのゆめはかぞくとにほんにすむことです。
Mr. Chin would like to live in Japan with his family in the future.
（Mr. Chin's dream is to live in Japan with his family.）
